Bottle from Blue Earl. Another spot on example of the style. Dark amber with soft soapy head. Funky hoppy aroma, taste allows some of the malts.Perfect example of the style.

Fairly dark red amber IPA with a nice head. The aroma is a balance of citrus and roasted malt. The taste replicates that balance, not too hoppy but a medium piney, roasted malt flavor. It feels at least medium bodied, but not too dry or overly bitter at the end. Overall, a fairly complex but smooth double IPA.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours deep red orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of light roasted malt with slight citrus. Tastes of citrus hops with slight pine notes, but weak. Beer is medium bodied, slightly syrupy but still easy drinking, a bit heavy on the carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a bronze color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits, some citrus. Taste is tropical fruits, melons, alcohol is present, slight sweetness, moderate bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall it isn't your traditional DIPA, but it's an enjoyable beer.

The beer that came out of my bottle was a porter. So dark you couldn't see through it. Wish I could post a picture. Disappointed!

Appearance: pours a hazy orange color with a 2" head that lasts a long time. Spotty lace develops.
Smell: citrus and tropical fruits are detectable by the nose.
Taste: caramel, orange, grapefruit, melon, mango, a bit of pine, and a floral bitterness rounds it out. Alcohol is mildly noticeable.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp to start, less crisp and dry at the finish.
Overall: a good DIPA that is well balanced but is slower in drinking than some others,

Pours an murky amber with three fingers of khaki-colored foam that retains well and leaves behind massive patches of lacing. Great, strong look. Aroma is pine, resin, orange, and stone fruit. Stone fruit comes through more in the flavor profile. Pine, tropical fruit, and resin all round out the large hop presence. A little bit of the 8% ABV shows through, but is masked well by the hops. Biscuit, bready malts show themselves more as the beer warms. Mouth feel has a little fizziness to it, but is otherwise medium-thick with a large, filling presence. Overall, exceptionally tasty. It provides a large mash of hop notes, and despite the high IBU, doesn't come across as insanely bitter. Just be aware there is a bitter presence to this beer.

Great Double IPA. A lovely example of the style, brewed with your soul in mind.
