Poured from a bomber into a snifter. Pours deep red with a small white head. Smells of citrus hops with some sweet grain and booze notes. Tastes of citrus hops and caramelized grain with booze notes. Beer is full bodied with good carbonation, but a bit boozy. Overall, a good beer.

Grains: Pale Ale, Caramel Malt Hops: Magnum, Amarillo, Centennial, Simcoe and lemondrop. Very strong nose on this beer, yet used local honey which can be tricky to excecute. The beer itself is extremely strong, most would say harsh af. And at 106 ibu, that’s where they were heading..to the hop atmosphere. That said, it’s tough to finish a glass of this, so clearly it’s a one and done beer. If I compare it to a dog fish head 120, surely the dfh has far better flavor balance and overall drinking experience. I don’t want to dissuade a hop head with strong fortitude from trying. It was clearly made for you.
