Minor explosion when opened. Pours a dark ruby-purple, relatively clear for the style, with an overly massive, rocky, raspberry-colored head. Lasts annoyingly long and leaves fairly thick lacing.
Sugar sweet mixed berries in the nose, with a yogurt-like tang beneath.
Insanely sweet tasting. Possibly the sweetest beer I’ve ever tasted. Raspberry-forward with flashes of blackberry and maybe blueberry. Tons of sugar. Makes Lindemans seem reserved.
Full feel with enough carbonation.
I’ve had jelly donuts that weren’t half as sweet as this. Too intense for my preferences. There is a nice tartness and sour tang in there too though.
