A Czech Amber Lager.
Rounder and maltier than the regular Pilž. Spalter hops form a balance with caramel notes and noble hop aromatics.

Poor a very clear deep golden/orange with an inch and a half thick of dense white creamy foam. Lots of head retention and the lacing is very present too. Aromas are of toasted bread, spicy hops, very subtle light caramel. The taste is amazingly crisp with an frank bitterness that comes from european hops. There are some peaches and caramel, but very subtle. No sulfur, no esters and no diacetyl. One of the best Polotmavy I've had!

A:
Pours a rich copper with a very slight hazy and two fingers is fluffy beige head. Not great retention, flecked lacing. (3.75)
S:
Rich, toasty malt with a light citrus-like hop flash and faint red fruits behind it. (3.75)
T:
Toasted malts, crusty bread, some caramel, Vienna malt, spicy/earthy hops.
(4)
M:
Light-plus body, velvety, drinkable, substantive feel with tiny bubbles. (4)
O:
This is a tasty amber beer.
I am not familiar with Czech beer, but I am fairly certain this is the "medium" beer there. Darker than a pils, but nothing black either. 14º plato.
It is a tasty beer. Looks pretty nice. The aroma and flavor are mainly toasted malt thickness reminiscent of a Vienna lager. There is some herbal hop spice and some residual sweetness. It is drinkable and has a well-balanced flavor. As it warms and you drink a bit of it It starts to kind of develop a grainy almost molasses sweetness/light astringency that isn't great. If not for that it would be a 4 overall. I would (and will) have it again. (3.75)
