Poors a pitch black with an inch of dense eggshell foam. The aromas are very similar to those of the light pilsner version of this beer: crisp cereals, orange peel, clementine, hops spyciness, but with a subtle dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans flavour. There are some red fruits as well. The taste is very crisp and dry despite the roasted coffee and burnt caramel flavor. Not to hoppy, perfectly balanced. Well done!

A:
Pours dark mohagany with a big fairly fuzzy khaki head the gasily settles to a cute little cap. Good retention; barely there lace speckles. (3.75)
S:
Smoky malts and mud. (3.5)
T:
Dirty, smoky, roasty malts with just a touch of sweetness. (4)
M:
Medium-minus body, pretty velvety with active carbonation and a sweetly smoky malt finish. (4)
O:
Good beer overall.
Just a simple malty dark lager. It looks decent. The nose is mainly smoky burnt malt and the flavor follows suit but with more body and sweetness to it. Well balanced between sweet and bitter. Really enjoyable even if not a life-changing, punch-you-in-the-face-with-flavor beer.
I will likely have this one again, I liked it quite a bit. (4)
