From a 473ml can, undated. Served in an imperial pint pub glass.
Pours a bright copper color like a shiny new penny with two-plus fingers of pouffy, bubbly head. Retention is excellent, settling into a thick foamy cap with fat gobs of lacing.
Aroma is mildly sweet and malty. It smells like donuts but I can’t say why I think that.
Taste’s like... nutmeg! That’s why I thought it smelled like a donut, because I smell nutmeg! Nutty with a mild, minerally, baked and bitter earthy sweetness, like maybe a molasses cookie. Or a donut.
Feel is creamy and smooth, medium-hefty bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall, that was delicious! Unfortunately, I wasted so much of my attention trying to tease out what I was tasting that I forgot to just enjoy it. I wish I had another!

It pours a crystal clear ruby-orange with a big off-white head that sticks around well. Nice retention/lacing. The aroma is all sweet doughy malt and molasses oats for horses. The flavor follows note for note, sweet almost-sticky malt sweetness, white chocolate, with some woodsy, medicinal hop bite to offset it. It is not very dry but not cloying either, with a nice bit light-roast-toasty-sweet character that lingers in the finish.
This is a nice, easy drinking beer that fits the style well. It is a little bit muddy for me in terms of the flavor, body and smell but that only really means that those parts being cleaned up for my tastes would bump it up from being "very, very good" to "excellent".
