On-tap served in a stemmed glass at Mikkeller Bangkok.
Hazy golden orange in color, it comes with a finger of frothy white head that stands with pretty good retention before slowly subsiding to a long-lasting bubble sheet atop and leaving lots of lacing patch and spot on the glass-side.
Citrus, grapefruit, peach, melon, pineapple, lime, pine, resin, a bit peppery, slight earthy yet grassy, it is quite juicy and tropical overall that is all from the hoppy goodness. Malt is there too but is a bit undertone with its sweet biscuit and caramel.
The taste is so intense with the greatness of hop providing notes of all the characters aforementioned in the aroma. Malt is there to partially balance with its sweet, biscuit, and caramel as the foundation of flavor base. Resiny bitterness from hop is upright and persistent yet well lasting in the aftertaste.
The body is between medium to rather full with some good crisp and lively carbonation through the palate, smooth, very dry finish.
Straightforward and solid DIPA that yields no compromise in good hop and malt bill, this one is surely worthy.
