44cl can, bb in 5m.
Light hazy gold with the slightest tinge of orange. Large-grained foam that fades quite quickly.
From a distance there's already a strong smell of freshly grated mandarine zest. Closer whiff adds a sharp but thin lemony layer on top.
That sharper, limeish flavor grows stronger in the mouth. A bit of creamy smoothness on the sides, balanced by quite sharp carbonation. No saltiness or spiciness. Refreshing, but simple.
While this works as a refreshing summer drink, and I like the calamansi aroma, this has nothing to justify the 'gose' labeling. Sourness is also of the cheapest kettle souring kind. End result might well be exactly what was wished for, i.e. an orange soda with well-hidden alcohol. Probably would be a hit with those coming from the lemonade world. But as they claim this is a gose, I am going to drop the score. Call it a refreshing summer sour, don't ride on a more serious label.
