Copenhagen 15/2 2021 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb.F. Ca n looks a bit like the Mike Oldfield cover to Crises with a black monolith.
Pours opaque, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a bit of a sweet, malty odor mingling with sweet exotic fruit and alcohol. Lighter citric fumes. Sweet pale malts, peach, apricot and pineapple. Hints of decay and fermentation. Citrus and lime. Hints of pine.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet, boozy undertone. Finish is semi-dry.
Quite light for a DIPA - but not without it's own lightly boozy charm.
