Copenhagen 27/7 2020. 44 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Surreal and quite colorful but desolate landscape on the can.
Pours hazy, opaque golden yellow with a small, dense white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a fermented sweetness and citric notes. Peach, mango and papaya. Decay. Citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet, fermented undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Not too heavy and quite refreshing DIPA. More “Dream” than “Desolate”.
