Copenhagen 2/3 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Close up of dark, shimmering water on the can. To call it a wave is bit exaggerated.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big off-white head. Fairly stable. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, malty, roasted odor mingling with citric notes. A whiff of earthy yeast. Dark roasted malts. Wet soil. Hints of compost. Grapefruit and citrus.
Light cabonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, smooth texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Smooth and nicely balanced between the sweetly roasted and the citric.
