Copenhagen 0/12 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Dark can with red paint splashes emerging. Looks pretty cool.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. Settles as a 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, dark and roasted malts mingling with exotic spice. Dark chocolate, the characteristic, perfumed scent of Tonga and toffee. Vanilla and sweet cherry.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, viscous, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
Not too sweet - but with a quite prominent presence of Tonka beans. Well made but an acquired taste.
