Introducing the second beer in our brand-new series of wild ales, The Past & The Present: Bretty Lager Edition. This series symbolizes all that once was and everything that now is at Alefarm Brewing.
This batch began with a portion of our farmhouse saison base that was fermented with lager yeast. We then introduced a brettanomyces blend for secondary fermentation and allowed for a long conditioning period in stainless steel.
Before packaging, we lightly dry-hopped this beer with Hallertau Blanc. Finally, it was bottle-conditioned with champagne yeast, resulting in lively and refreshing carbonation.

Copenhagen 22/8 2025. 37,5 cl bottle from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Off-white label with corn ears and Alefarm’s simple logo.
Pours opaque unclear yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as a thin and patchy layer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet odor with a touch of malt mingling with a stronger tart scent. Funky notes. Sweet pale malts. Bread. Citrus and tart gooseberries. Sour cheese.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, slightly
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a stronger sourness. Aftertaste is a bit thin. Tart and sour. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
Fine light and funky Saison.
