Poured from a can into a pint glass.
Look is nice, pours dark brown, can see through when held to the light. Half inch light brown foamy head. Smell is nice, roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, slight smokiness. The taste follows suit, upfront with the caramel, long smoky finish, and a nice malt body throughout the sip. Mouthfeel is medium heavy, very hearty and works well for this beer. Slight bite at the beginning and end of each sip. Overall a great beer, nice balanced flavor that is done very well. Would recommend checking it out.

12 ounce can, no dating that I noticed on it. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a dark brown color with about a half inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like roasted malt, chocolate, nuts and some caramel. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some earthiness noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink. I thought it was a decent enough nut brown ale, definitely worth trying! $1.99 for a single can.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid nut brown pours a clear medium dark mahogany
with a very nice head of off white dissipating foam that settles to a thick creamy ring,
thin filmed pool, and displays some very nice sudsy lacing. Nose of roasted nutty
malts with touches of chocolate and brown sugars. Flavors follow well with a more
English take on the style with roasted nutty malts, medium light brown sugars, and
hints of chocolate with a nice mild herbal hop on the rear. Perfect mouth feel for the
style; medium carbonation that is lively enough to give lift, medium body, and a lightly sweet
roasted finish.
Overall an EXCELLENT brew that is welcome on a steamy day!
Cheers

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear mahogany with off white head that is leaving a spotty. The scent had hints of nuttiness. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. Slight brown sugar and nut present. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent offering.

Ok, finally a Kentucky brown ale my wife loves! Better than Bell's, Brooklyn and the other cast of suitors. Way to go White Squirrel.

Another winner from White Squirrel. Creamy mouthfeel. Dark in color. Rides the line between a brown and a Porter. Chocolate and Roast all throughout.
