Full 50 cl tap pour at Delerium Cafe, Toulouse,France.
Came to me with a short foam plume that hung around throughout the drink.
Nose is dark roast malt and expired coffee grounds.
Taste brings the dark roast in abundance up front. Mid sip has the addition of Mirabelle plum making a presence that lingers before fading dryly to coffee, a short alcohol bite, and leaves a lightly sweet lip.
Mouthfeel is medium to lush. Medium carbonation.
Overall, an unfussy straight up Imperial Stout with pleasant plum taste in the center.

Had on tap. Roasty black opaque body with very light brown head that settles into a thick collar. Smells of roasted malt strongly, plum, raisin, earth and char in the background. Taste starts with rugged earth, roasted malt, and char before sweet and dried plum emerges decently potently, some lingering booze and sugar round out. Feel is roasted and heavy but has a dry frothiness that is a good balancing end

The plums and roasted malt make a great duo, but the taste of beer gets a little lost behind the fruit.
Expertly done, as would be expected from La Débauche. Thick mouthfeel and a big, fluffy head that lends to an overall enjoyable experience. You can decide for yourself wether or not the balance between malt and prunes suits your taste.
