44 cl can (depicting a shriveled nun holding a candle in front of a burning church), poured at just above room temp into a snifter in Toulouse, France. Fair foam tops deep brown brew.
Nose is super sweet from the git. Syrup in play here, the dark malt struggles for attention under peanuts and goo.
Taste isn’t a Snickers bar. It’s like an Almond Joy bar - coconut, intentionally or not, is a playah here. Hazelnuts, chocolate, little coffee,, not much on the caramel. It’s not boozy, it’s not pastry Stout thick.
Mouth is just above medium, there’s low side of medium carbonation.
Overall, maybe they shouldn’t have called it a Snickers. It’s a nice sweet stout that underwhelms. Cool can art though.
