The town and community would not be the same without Bix Axe Brewing. It's a small place with a small interior and a large almost open to the street patio with a partial deck . Street parking only. They have live music sometimes. It's location in town is quite visible and the vibe is very laid-back and free. Good prices, great food, and a very good selection of high quality beers to choose from. Kid and dog friendly and can be very busy at times. Fantastic service. Big Axe is VG to outstanding overall.

Really enjoyed my visit to Big Axe Brewing - mellow vibe with excellent food and every beer I tried was very good and the Axetoberfest and Axe Kicker DIPA were personal favorites. Service was speedy and friendly despite us requesting multiple growler fills late during the lunch hour. Make a stop if you are in Nisswa regardless of season!

Visited here last July 5th, and couldn't enjoy myself. It was crowded elbow to elbow with city money. Had to wait a few minutes for a seat to open, and a few more to be waited on. No biggie, good for them. However the place felt like a tourist trap. I need to go back when it's a more laid back atmosphere.

In a seasonal, touristy town, this is the best brew pub you could ask for. These guys are brewing on a 7 barrel system and keep 5+ beers on tap (10 total available taps). The beers are high quality, albeit "safe" for the local tastebuds. Expect five ales on tap that include at least a stout, IPA, and something light and refreshing as well as some other fun offerings. Service is killer. Ask for a brief tour of their facility and they will certainly oblige.
Selection is limited to whatever they have available. Get a 5oz x 5 beers sampler for $8 to try as much as possible.
Food menu is somewhat limited but consistently enjoyed by patrons.
Big Axe is a must-visit if you're in Nisswa. Can't wait to see what these guys do as they grow.
