Appearance: A hazy, yellow-amber beer with very thin head (though I think that was due to the server). The lace was minimal due to the lack of any foam.
Smell: A light aroma of grains, mild lemon, and spring meadows.
Mouthfeel: Very smooth and medium bodied. I was surprised at just how easy this beer went down.
Taste: There was a very nice lemon flavor that wasn't typical of those that I have noticed in other beers, such as wheats. It was a grassy, lemon-like flavor (go figure) that was mellow and by no means overpowering. The aftertaste is when the rye really showed itself. It had a nice, chewy grain quality that I loved. It reminded me of the flavor of Rogue's Buckwheat Ale.
A very nice beer that is very appropriate for the season.
