Appearance - The pour is slightly hazy and red-tinged copper with a fine amount of sediment floating about. Sandstone colored, finger width head that displays a great retention before dying down to a thin, broken layer of suds. Strong lacing on display, with broken sheeting, lines and small spotting decorating the glass.
Smell - Citrusy with some earthen undertones; leafy and a hint of metallic character.
Taste - The flavors are more nuanced than what's found on the nose. Mild citrus met with faint hints of tea-like earthiness, chocolate and caramel. Not much else. Light citrus with hints of tropical fruitiness lingers in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with low, tingly carbonation. Silky smooth texture makes this an easy drinker with a finish that holds firm.
Overall - Promising flavor profile that unfortunately lacks any kind of assertiveness, resulting in a mostly bland drinking experience that teases you with the wonderful, albeit minimal, flavor that is here. If they take this one back to the drawing board and can strengthen the flavor profile I think they'd have a real winner here.
