March 28th, 2016 - As one of the new kids in North Park, most of Barn's beers - and their style - are new to me. So I started with what sounds like a good, standard IPA as a metric. The Rooster Call IPA is hazy in the glass with a nice pearly head, and a lighter aroma with spice and pepper, like a strong saison. The flavor is more of a traditional IPA however, both sweet and metallic, but also strangely light in the body. And alas, there's an off taste here of pumpkin seeds and brown sugar in the mid-taste, and finishes with some hops bitterness in the aftertaste.
