a simple but tasty ipa, fresh and balanced and enjoyable, made less amazing only by the ungodly amount of time we waited for food to come out of the kitchen to enjoy it with in here. its got a little chill haze to it but doesnt appear to be done in the new england style, not that cloudy. the head is white and lacy and it lasts awhile. the nose is very fresh, a mix of tangerine zest and pine to me in the nose, undertones of tropical fruit, mango and papaya, but this isnt even a little bit sweet when i start drinking it, just a dry pale barley malt base, simple, but sometimes less is more, and here the hops enjoy the body provided by the grain, but also appreciate it staying back in the flavor, balance and support only. bitterness is mellow, i get a peach and citrus complexion toward the finish, and a lightly oily slickness to it. perhaps not the most unique ipa in the world, but well drinkable, flavorful, and satisfying. i thought all the beer we had in here was pretty good. ive had this one a million times before if you know what i mean, but i liked it pretty well nevertheless!
