Pours opaque, dark brown in color with one inch head. Taste is smoke and roasted malt. Medium light bodied, smoky, and low carbonation. Solid Irish stout.

Bottle bought at Liquor Shed in Casper. It pours pretty black, small short lasting head of foam. No lacing. The smell is huge. Burnt charred malt, maybe even burnt coffee grounds. Pretty off putting to be honest. The smell is in the taste but at a lower level. I get some dark chocolate bitterness and not much more. Thin body with medium carbonation. One of the strangest beers I've ever tasted. That smell!!

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a one finger dark khaki head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of semi-sweet dark toasted malt with slight char, chocolate and a little lactose. Flavor is dark toasted malt with moderate char, dark chocolate, licorice, brown bread. Finishes with charry dark malt and toast. Light to medium bodied with sharp carbonation. A very nice dry stout. The sweetness in the aroma is not present in the taste, which has no lactose notes. Good chocolate component and pleasant char from the dark malt. A little light in flavor, but that is probably due to the low ABV; I've been away from regular stouts for a while now. A well made representative of the style. Looks amazing.
