A- Mostly clear deep amber to red pour from the can to a becher. An off white light tan cap forms with a thick foamy texture to a half inch high. Fair head retention and lace is basically a nonfactor.
S- Spicy aroma. Earthy cinnamon bark, dark red fruit ala cherry or raisin, pale fruit esters. Reminds me of apple pie with hefty cinnamon.
T- Leads off with the cinnamon again but this time more things find themselves balanced in. Bready, nutty, toasty and slightly sweet grains lead to earthy cinnamon, clove, slight fruits( less than aroma), caramelized sugars, vanilla sweets and raisin.
MF- Light to medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation and a smooth puffy consistency. Ends with spices lingering and a clean bitterness.
Not bad. The cinnamon is strong but it comes off as earthy and most importantly authentic. This balances well with notes of toasted nuts, pale fruits like pear and apple as discussed a light sweetness.
