my absolute favorite brewery. i find myself enjoying almost every beer i try from manor hill. i love that it's a very small brewery located inside what's essentially a garage. bartenders are great people (shoutout to bec, you my boi) and it's just generally a good place to hang out and enjoy some beer.

Visited this weekend and this was a highlight of our trip (which included several brewery and bar destinations.)

14 beers on tap as well as a cask. Most everything was available for growler fills plus they had cans via 4-pack of pounders, 6-packs of 12oz and a 750ml bottle of barrel aged bruin. The tap list had a good spread of styles available that ranged from pilsner to many different IPAs, a porter, barrel aged stout, adjunct stout, sour and saison.

You need a reservation to visit and they only allow 50 people at a time in blocks of 2 hours. Seating for 20 id say at their bar but its a little cramped. Also tables available but all were filled when we got there but within the hour it started to clear out.

Wait staff was very attentive and welcoming of us. Could not of asked for better service. We were offered a guided tour or told to just freely go check everything out ourselves which was neat.

The people who own this place must be freaking loaded. I mean....its like a quarter mile long driveway leading up to the place and aside the brewery is a mansion. We looked around the place and couldnt help but laugh. Its like, exactly what we would do if we won the lotto: buy a huge property, own a beautiful home and have a very respectable brewery on the side just as a fun hobby. Dont get me wrong with the hobby comment, the beers are quite tasty and what we took to go was packaged fresh. We will be back again for sure.

The brewery is located on a farm just off a main thoroughway, which is a pretty neat set up considering it’s location. They had a nice variety of decent beer.

Pretty much a barn on farm property, but really cool atmosphere and a cool place to hang out. Reservations make it nice and relaxed (not crowded) and easy to get a refill. Property includes a hip field and a couple of cornhole boards. About a dozen beers on tap and no food (but you can bring your own). All in all a pretty cool and scenic place.

Exceptionally good brewery/ bar and tap room. It begins with the overall pastoral Maryland countryside and farm setting. Beautiful farm campus with modern facilities and a great Hop field. Inside all décor and rooms are tastefully set up, and provides a relaxing and yet still upbeat friendly setting. Plenty of tables for groups and a lemgthy bar for sipping and talking. Crowd was a perfect mix of young and older. Barrels were stacked up on one side and suggested many good things to come.
Interesting web based reservation system based on need to not surpass 50 people at a time. Local requirement...out of their hands. Seemed a bit off putting initially but was very well designed, friendly in content as well as use, Revived email confirmation and friendly requests to update if I needed to make any changes. I arrived late, and had emailed that a few friends would not be joining helped them free up a couple of slots, etc.
What I loved was when I entered and walked up to the bar...and was greeted by first name, acknowledged my emails, and we got off to a really great start. Behind the bar... Brandi and Chrissie (Tap Room Mgr) were extraordinarily friendly, welcoming, helpful, informative and literally made the visit special. Which is saying something because the place and the beer were top shelf.
No food except bags of snacks at this point. But they encourage you to BYOF. So you could easily do some fun beer pairings or even set up a foodie table to take care of hunger and keeping alcohol a bit under control. Expect next time I'm bringing something nice to share.
OK ...beers. Great selection. Multiple IPAs, Gose, Blood Orange Berliner Weisse, Grisette, Kolsch and a wheat ale. IPAs ranged from straight up classics to mysterious concoctions with Down Under Hops and honey. But the take away tasty surprise was a Coffee Brown IPA. Creative and delicious.
Place, vibe, beers and especially people make this my new favorite brew stop in Maryland.
