Great 800 person Biergarten at the German Corner where the Rhine and Moselle Rivers meet. Besides the boat traffic, you can see the large fortress and the cable cars that go up to it. BTW, go the fortress for awesome views and another biergarten.
Went here twice including once when they had a band so check the website for details.
They offer, I believe three tap beers and a few other choices in bottles. You go the window, and order and then get into a line to pay. The whole process takes like two minutes. Note that there is a 1 euro deposit on your mug.
The food was good and lots of the locals were eating there so take that for what it is worth.
Very enjoyable stop in a really cool town.

The location is awesome. Close to the old part of town, sightseeing and the Mosel and Rhine river. Actually, it is right next to the Mosel river. It is a self serve Biergarten, but the vibe is awesome. Just check it out. You would probably do so anyway when you get to it...
