Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is brown, a little dense looking, head is light tan with fine bubbles and presents one finger thick, head lingers well with solid top and lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is toast and light nuttiness, some toffee and light caramel, grassed and earthy hops.

Taste is more toast, nutty, caramel and toffee, grassed and earthy hops, maybe some light coffee and chocolate with warmth.

Mouthfeel has light carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness, a bit dryer than some brown ales but possible with the strength.

Overall this is a great moderate strength brown ale - moderate brown malt characteristics - toast/nutty/toffee/caramel/chocolate all present and notable; bitterness/hop character is low and strength is well hidden.

Had as part of a beer flight at the Altoona Tap room.
LOOK: Opaque darkest of brown with a tan skim head. (Hey, it's a 4oz flight glass, head size and retention not applicable).
AROMA: Sweet smell of molasses or caramel and sweet bread malts.
TASTE: It's sweet caramel and coffee malts with some roastiness. Not much noted in the way of hops.
FEEL: Lacked carbonation and a little zest. that IMO would enhance this beers appeal.

16 oz can. Nice be brown body with lingering tan foam. Th flavor has some nice roastiness but with a bit too much diacetyl. Bit of bitterness in the finish. A good brown ale that could a bit of tweaking.

9/29/22 BIRTHDAY BEER! Trip to Indiana, PA for my birthday pub crawl.

Nice drinkable brown ale. Beautiful brown, deep copper. Exceptional smooth mouth feel. Extremely well balanced.

Thought this brown ale was quite good smooth semi sweet nice brown malt and touch of sweet chocolate. Body was exceptionally smooth. Don't see many browns on the market anymore so this one stood out for me pretty well.

Purchased for $4 in a pint can at Bierport. Not worth the price, although a fine, sweetish, malty brown ale. Poured into a glass with a nice yellow head. Very malty and roasty. Not my favorite style but an enjoyable beer with dinner.

Had this at a local pub while on vacay in PA, solid, little brown...

Literally I choose to drink this on the name alone (though I do like Browns). Great dark brown coloration with gradient highlights with a mild caramel scent in the nose. Carbonated more than I like the taste is,as with the nose, light on caramel and full-bodied on malt.

Nice offering from this PA brewer...

Middle-of-the-road. Roasted malt comes through well but is pretty thick, could use a little counterbalance. And the body was a little bit watery, but otherwise what you’d expect
