Poured from a 12 oz. can into a snifter.
Pours dark brown. Very little head.
No overwhelming smells or aromas. Smells like a stout.
Can taste the bourbon, but it's not strong or overpowering. Some bitterness, but it's a pleasant and well-balanced taste.
Good mouthfeel. Maybe a little on the "thin" side for an imperial stout.
A very nice, enjoyable beer. More of an "everyday" beer, if that's possible for a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout. Not for special occasions like many limited releases, but it's far more affordable, too.
