Up a flight of stairs into a warehouse-feel restaurant and bar. The wood bar overlooks brewing tanks behind some glass. Large windows provide plenty of natural light. Cool collection of paintings by local artists, and some barrels adorn the back wall.

Eight beers on draft here covering styles from pilsners to sours. They have a 4x6 oz or 6x6 oz flights along with standard pints. Service was spot on and the beers were also of good quality. The food looked really good but I wasn't hungry. Another great spot in the downtown area !

This was my local, go-to place while on travel to FXBG for two weeks. Beer is definitely good but food really stood out for me. Nice selection and waitstaff were very knowledgeable and friendly.

Nice small downtown brewery with lots of town history. Big bar and plenty of seating. Came on a wednesday night. Wide selection of beer styles most with a local historic connection, name, or story. The brewery is within walking distance of the Fredericksburg Battlefield. Food is farm to table. Sandwiches, entrees, and local market steak and lamb. I had the lamb sloppy Joe with house cut fries. Delicious. Beers were good too. Their national award winning ESB is very balanced and well done. They also offer seasonal and one off employee collaboration brews. I'll be back when in town.

Nice and clean small brewpub in downtown Fredricksburg, VA. On a trip back from special viewing of "The Hateful 8" at Potomic MIlls. Nice and clean inside with an adequate bar for the size of the brewpub. The actual brewery is cramped into the center of the building, with large viewing windows from the bar area. Plenty of tables available for dinner, and did not have to wait for a seat on a Saturday evening (day after Christmas). We ordered some full pours and a flight. I enjoyed many of the beers which will be discussed more in beer reviews. The burger that I ordered was cooked properly (mid-rare), and the food tasted fresh. Everyone at the table enjoyed the food. The service was decent, but at times felt like I was being pushed into ordering another beer. This could have just been my particular server. Growlers are available with counterpressure fills. This place is pretty new from what I understand, and I am definitely interested in returning, especially after they have a chance to "grow".

Hand written street signs work. Put them on the sidewalk and watch the curious pedestrians walk to your place. I was a victim of such; Spencer Devon advertised their brewpub nearby at a street corner in as me and my brother were touring Fredericksburg, and as a beer lover, became a sucker to visit.

The modern brewpub is a modern marvel. Clean, rustic, plenty of space at the bar and around the dining area, big windows looking outwards, and the brewhouse behind the bar. Complimenting the beer is a limited food menu, but with lunch already out of the way, I settled on a beer. Nine different beers pouring, some seasonal and others year-round. Among the styles were a pilsner, brown ale, witbier, IPA, milk stout, and Belgian Blonde. The quality of the milk stout could stand out, especially given its low alcohol level, but the chunky and boring shaker pint glass did not. Although my visit was short, I would come back to Spencer Devon and give it an extended run.
