Plymouth, WI holds the self-proclaimed title of cheese capital of the world (Sargento is produced in the city, for example), and I cannot think of better beverage to compliment all that cheese than a wonderful glass of beer. Plymouth Brewing Company has you covered there. Located along the city's main street Mill St. in a downtown which resembles the Main Street America of yesteryear, Plymouth Brewing's taproom feels like a throwback with a mix of modernity. A long bar with seats for about 10 people occupies the right side of the building upon entering. Small tables are scattered here and there with additional seating. There's a popcorn machine where you can help yourself to the salty snack and salt it up even more with provided flavorings. Memorabilia posted on the walls of your grandfather's generation of macro lagers, in addition to old bottles of locally produced beer from many decades before displayed behind the bar. Not very busy on a Sunday afternoon, and neither was the middle of town despite being a beautiful September day.
Two lists of the beer menu are posted at separate ends of the bar, taps 1-7 at one side and taps 8-14 at the other side. That seems to make ordering a little more difficult than it needs to be; my neck might need a massage after all that head turning. But a quality selection of house beers pouring; light ale, orange kölsch, pistachio nut brown, milk stout, imperial stout, India Brown Ale, passionfruit sour among the choices. You have choices between a full pint or a half pint on most of the beers, with the imperial stout served in a snifter. The bartender will pour you tasters of the beer you want to try before you order, and he was very helpful with that. Beer quality is quite good as well; even a boring sounding beer like their blonde ale is plenty satisfying, although each of the beers were pouring with a lot of foam. There's beer to take home as well, and I noticed a number of 4Xpint packs; I would have loved to see pricing and availability of those beers on a menu.
I feel cozy when I have a beer at Plymouth Brewing Company. You should feel cozy too and put this on your brewery guide.

Nice little spot. Tried several different PBC offerings and was pleasantly surprised. Happy to see taps from CW, NG, Oso, and 3 Sheeps representing some great WI breweries. They even had BP Big Eye on tap and bottles of Black Butte and CWBBS! Definitely worth checking this place out if you're in the area.
