Appearance - Definitely filtered, This beer pours a deep crystal clear ruby amber color. A shade lighter than mill st Tankhouse but still a fairly dark american IPA. Head at the pour sat around 2 fingers of off white had that has faded to one finger in the last 10 mins. Carbonation looks really strong.
Aroma - Caramel malts, grapefruit orange, some light smokey armomas wood. compared to other American IPA's the aroma here is pretty docile.
Taste - Grapefruit, orange peel, fairly bitter, earthy hops, woodyness, and caramel. This may have it in the line up of Quebec IPA's 10 years ago but it doesnt compete today!
Feel - body is light-medium with slightly spritzy carbonation.
Overall - White not a bad beer its definitely not something I will have again. We live in a world where there are so many good beers today and this is average. Theres nothing wrong with it but its a basic IPA, Id put it on par with the st ambroise IPA. Cheers!

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a medium size off-white foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of caramel malt with light spicy hoppy notes is OK. Taste is mostly dominated by caramel malt with some residual sugar notes, some bitter hops with light spicy undertones. Body is about average with OK carbonation. Taste like an average IPA from 2004.

Was intrigued by the fact that it says on the bottle that it has a smoked taste, which would be a first for me in an IPA. I really hope it's not a lie! It's also the first time I even hear about this brewery, so let's see!
Nice amber-redish color with a 1-inch head with good carbonation. Smells of caramel malts and fruity hops, there's some smoked aromas there too but it's subtle. Nice smell. Really malty and hoppy in the mouth. Pleasant caramel taste, while not too sweet like other malty IPAs. Still a subtle smoke taste in the finish but it's definitely not on the same level as a real smoked beer. Interesting brew, will definitely look for their other beers.
