A: This beer pours a deep burgundy color with a ton of cappuccino head. Very strong retention.
S: Smell is quite complex with notes of toffee, toasted malts, caramel, vanilla, figs, nuts. A but mineral and tiny bit medicinal.
T: Taste is pretty wheel balanced with a ton of caramel flavours, vanilla, figs and nuts. Still is a bit medicinal, which is a but sad because it would have been pretty amazing.
F: A bit light for the genre and too much carbonation.
O: This is a solid brew. It gets a bit of an unfair ranking because it's well made except for the medicinal notes, which I find very displeasing.

Bottle: Poured a deep black brown color ale with a nice large dark off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of toffee and caramelized with some residual sugar notes is quite nice. Taste is a nice mix of caramelized malt with some residual sugar notes and some toffee with light grainy notes also observable. Body is a bit thin for style with good carbonation. Not bad but lacking some balance and body is a bit thinner then I was expecting.
