Westtown Brew Works

Rustic barn on a little rise overlooking the green fields of rural NY. Service bar opposite the entrance with large outdoor patio area off the left side of the building. Fire oven pizza truck and live music. 8 to 10 beers on tap, I had the Farm Hand which was ok. Friendly servers.

 

 

The location and the building itself are spectacular. There is a really amazing view if you're sitting outside, and inside the decor is really nice--a sort of unfinished barn look with some nice art on the walls. The service is also excellent. The beer is.... meh. They had a nice selection, but overall I found the beers very bland. Then again, these guys are pretty new, so I imagine they're still working on their brews. The IPA is actually pretty nice (and this is coming from someone who generally hates IPAs), but the cucumber beer tasted like homemade pickles, not pleasant at all.

Beer quality aside, I will definitely be back. With time, I'm sure they'll improve the beer, and the location and the service is so nice it's just a great place to hang out.

Great place to spend an afternoon drinking. Setting up on hill overlooking the valley and hop vines is fantastic. They are just starting out. Only 4 selections available. They have a food truck in the parking lot which is a great option. Brewer is one of the servers. Ingredients for the beer is locally sourced. Well worth a visit
