On tap at the brewery, Vancouver.
Chestnut brown with off white ring that webs. 4
Toast but with carob and chocolate. 4
Big sticky malt and caramel, touches of licorice and coffee, and vague grassy end. 4
Toffee end and bitter linger.
Almost medium, some chew, and mineral tang. 4
Roasty notes, but also a bit sweet - brownie maybe a bit overdone. There’s a pile of crystalized malt here - 22% Munich I + II. IBUs are a bit quiet - could hit more than 50 to balance the slightly too-big sugar; the alt is cleaner. Falls just short of greatness 4.25
