Okay my local Albertsons had one sixer and I was entanced by the coconut porter as almond joy sprung to mind. But, my god what a waste. There is no coconut. I have tried multiple times with this sixer to figure out where the coconut is. I've tried it drunk on liquor. I've tried it absolutely sober. There is no coconut. To top it off the porter is blah not very much there. No flavor. Nothing right home about. I would not recommend this beer to anyone. Sorry. No coconut!

Grunt fill from Winco. Something about this has always said "Avoid!". Boy was I was wrong! The coconut here is a minor player adding some mild sweetness to the whole brew, which still allows the roast grain base to shine through. Dark brown pour, small spotty head. Aroma had minor notes of coconut, nice toast grains, burnt toast and coffee. Taste is gentle bitterness, accented by the coconut. Lovely feel all around. Really nice porter.

just my second beer from these guys, kind of a split decision here. i like the coconut aspect a lot, the dose is right, it tastes toasted and natural, and its there from start to finish, but the base porter is less impressive, slightly syrupy and tired in feel, overly sweet, and without the grain naunce that would flatter the coconut, somewhat one dimensional there. the nose and taste are identical, sweet malt sugar, fleshy coconut, lightly earthy, notes of chocolate and coffee too, which the coconut just accents and compliments beautifully. the sugar is heavy on the teeth and tongue though, and as it warms, it becomes too much, i was glad to be sharing the pint with my lady, the last few sips were a bit of a chore even still. more bitterness from the roast would be appreciated, and would help balance this a lot, but so would a more complete fermentation, it doesnt seem like the sweetness is from the coconut. i could also see a pinch of smoked malt or something going a long way, adding the needed complexity to the support structure of the coconut. the proportion of coconut in here is nice, i like it being the leader, and i like the toasted character it has. overall this is close to being great but is in need of some refinement to get there. better than the other beer i have had from these guys.
edit: raising a few scores here to show how much better this was in the bottle last night than it was on draft the first time i had it. maybe the recipe has changed over time, but it wasnt nearly as sweet, and the coconut not so forced, allowed to be in the background a little bit. less syrupy in texture and just way more drinkable overall. real enjoyable as a nightcap and far better than i remember it being on tap.

Pours a dark brown, finger width tan head that lingers and laces, smells sweet, roasty, chocolate, toffee, missing heavy coconut one would expect. Well balanced characteristic chocolate Porter taste, no off flavors, very light coconut, Finnishes with bitterness from the hops. Crisp and smooth. Not a coconut bomb but not a bad beer either, I'd probably try something I never had before I'd drink this again.
