a decent belgian blonde that is actually more orange than yellow in the glass. there is a little bee on the can, but im not sure this is actually made with honey. the yeast is samey to me, a generic and very americanized belgian culture, same as so many other breweries are using, but its well controlled here, not overly estery or anything, but the beer could certainly be drier than it is. not much head on this from the tap, and a little cloudy too, really not the look i want for this style at all. basic in aroma and flavor, a little richness to the malt that is above and beyond what i expect or want in a blonde of any persuasion, but the yeast is well done, pear and banana notes to it, actually neat with the sweetness in the middle, but the sugars drag down drinkability as it warms. some light detergent soap thing going on in the finish, but its quick. subtle coriander and orange peel notes in here too from the yeast. this really needs more carbonation, the belgian styles like this are almost as much about mouthfeel as flavor, and this one really sags. in need of some fine tuning overall. not their best.
