Dark beer out of the tap with a sticky beige head. Roasted grain nose. Dark caramel sweetness with some chocolate and sweetened coffee notes. Enjoyable beer.

This was a brew I picked at random from a ton of Ohio brewers with which I am unfamiliar while blowing through Dayton in May. The head pours enormous and joins a genuine sour oat based nose, which also includes coffee, licorice, and dark fruit to make my random decision look smart early.
The flavor again starts with that sour oat mash base, mellowed with dark chocolate and late dark fruit. The aftertaste is very agreeable and the texture is supurbly smooth. Really, nice, restrained, mellow, but also flavorful version of a great style.

12 ounce can, no dating on it that I was able to find. Served in a Spiegelau stout glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with an inch tan head. Head retention is good, and there's a decent amount of lacing. The brew smells like oats, coffee, chocolate, and nuts. Taste is similar to the aroma but with the addition of dark breadiness. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good oatmeal stout, easy and enjoyable to drink! This is the first Moeller Brew Barn brew I've had, and hopefully I'll try more from them soon (which will be easier since they distribute to Columbus now). $9.99 a 6-pack.

From the can in a snifter. This newer brewer oatmeal stout pours a
muddled dark brownish black with a very nice head of off white foam
that subsides to a thick ring, thin pool, and features some very nice lacing.
Nose of deeply roasted malts, a touch of coffee, and subtle chocolate
notes. Flavors hit the right tone for a stout lovers sessionable stout.
Deeply roasted malts and smooth oats dance over light coffee and dark
cocoa notes that fade into a lightly cream touched finish with a touch of char.
Excellent mouth feel with medium light carbonation, medium full body,
and a nice roasted finish.
Overall---THIS IS ONE DARN NICE STOUT THAT IS HIGHLY SESSIONABLE!
Cheers
