Last of the three bottles from this brewery that I brought back from Costa Rica. Like the other two, the 12 oz bottle featured a brown paper covering on the neck of the bottle (like the foil used by many breweries) secured by a rubber band. This is a good Witbier. Not much of a head or lacing, but a typical hazy straw yellow color. Aroma and flavor are good. Some citrus (orange), a little wheat bitterness, and coriander. Quite tasty and true to style. Mouthfeel is crisp and tart with a little wheat bitterness. This is a good brewery. Their IPA was pretty average but I really enjoyed the Saison and this beer!!!!

an extremely robustly flavored with, with more of both the orange and the coriander here than i think i have ever encountered in the style, super fresh too, almost tastes bottle conditioned, and has a level of complexity beyond what we are used to in these. i liked it a lot, although i can see it being somewhat polarizing. cool packaging, with some brown paper rubber banded to the neck to theoretically keep light out. the beer is cloudy, almost milky looking, very pale straw colored, but with a big rising white head on it. tons of toasted coriander seed in the nose, with a strong orange citrus essential oil character as well, floral and fresh, and with a lot of raw wheat in it. the orange is strong in the flavor too, this is almost perfume, but there is some needed bitterness from the orange, which here tastes like juice and zest rather than just the peel, and has a real bite to it. the wheat gives it some body, and thankfully it is effervescently carbonated, this style, and this flavor profile in particular really need that. i could probably not make an afternoon of this one, its just so intense on the coriander and orange, but the flavor is good, and we really enjoyed our bottle. the only beer from these guys we got to have on our trip unfortunately...
