Cask. Brewed by Bateman's for the 'Spoons Spring Festival. Pours almost black with a thick, light tan and creamy head.
Smells of coffee grounds with hints of dark chocolate.
The chocolate forces forward on tasting. Cocoa nibs? Some charred bitterness present.
Medium bodied but a rather flat feel.
One of those labelled as a porter yet inclining towards a stout.
