Appearance: dark brown in color with a short tan colored head.
Smell: light roasted coffee and some sweetness rises from the glass.
Taste: roasted malt, light bitter coffee, dark chocolate, a bit of dark fruit sweetness, and a hint of alcohol .
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Smooth throughout with the flavors lingering on the tongue for a while.
Overall: this is a decent beer that needs a bit more heft with the maltiness as it seemed a bit thin. Otherwise the flavors are nicely balanced with a bit of warming from the higher alcohol.
