Loads of hops were traditionally used in this style of beer as a preservative while it was shipped by sea from Britain to India. Our “Savage” brew lives up to expectations!

This is not the best beer I tried at the brewpub but it is good and as an IPA drinkability is high so I took some home.

My wife went down and got me a glass from the nice ladies at he desk in the hotel so there is where I poured it from the growler. Growlers are clear so keep 'em dark. The beer is deep honey colored with a small off-white head that laces only on the oddly stepped inside of the hotel glass.

Smells are on-par for an IPA with citrus and juniper up front and a malt back to hold it up.

Taste is lightly sweet and full of hops. Grapefruit and pine in tandem with a bitter bite and a balanced maltieness carry this beer along.

Mouthfeel is medium and well carbonated making drinkability high.

This is a good IPA and a welcome beer in this far off place I am proud to visit.

Slainte.
