12oz can, wine glass, no date (IPA rookies over here!).
It’s one of those pours where you get 85% head. Big puffy vintage paperback bubbles that relax in a minute or so. Medium hazy copper. The head really is spectacular.
Peach, tropical fruits, overripe pear, lemon bar, mango. A little bit of light malt.
I’ll pull that lemon or fruit bar descriptor forward; peach cobbler too, complete with golden baked crust. Little bitterness other than that from alcohol.
Soft, full body despite the carbonation. The carbonation makes what would otherwise be a very typical hazy mouthfeel better.
Interesting kind of hybrid Imperial IPA. The aroma is fruity and strong. It needs a packaged on date.

Canned offering pours an effervescent and chilled-hazed copper with 2+ finger of rocky tan head. Nice head retention & lacing
S: Some grainy notes, faint cakeyness
T: Cakey, piney, dry up front, a touch of grainyness as well. Grapefruit & pine dominate as this warms, along with some dryness & woody hops, a little cakeyness & a touch of green melon. Finishes a little dry with green melon, some pine & cakeyness
MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation, pretty good balance
A good old school DIPA that under delivers on the nose, ABV is well hidden. Maybe the best thing I've had from these guys

Bright red.
Melon grapefruit in the aroma.
Melin rind/pith, grain and herb going down. Quite unique. ...unique..open...
Has an open body and medium mouth-feel.
Always fun and interesting seeking out new beers in places not traditionally known for beer, and finding some good ones along the way.
