A WisCoast IPA? Yep, not a West or East coast IPA, this one hits it right down the middle. Same mystical recipe as the experimental version with a bit more umph. Golden colored IPA that has the aroma of an East Coast IPA without the thick turbidity. The color and body of a West Coast IPA without the insane bitter bite. This one is brewed in Wisco for all the midwestern IPA lovers like us, taking it easy sharing our best with our friends. Drink up to this fresh WisCoast Style

The Fluffy Unicorn is one of their experimental series of beers. 16 oz. tall boy poured into a pint, the beer is gold with really good clarity. It has a quickly collapsing off-white head. The can has a clear best by date which is nice.
It has a nice nose of citrus and floral notes. It is inviting.
There is some initial citrus bitterness (tangerine) followed by some caramel malts and then something slightly earth like in the aftertaste which is slightly distracting.
It is 50 IBUs. At 5% so it’s on the high end of a session beer.
The mouth is pretty solid for a “session” IPA. It has a touch of tongue coating oiliness which I like.
My first beer from this brewery. Too bad the taste didn’t live up to the awesome smell, but I would have another .
