The appearance was a nice looking hazy dark brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing sliding and sticking in rings wrapping itself around the glass. The smell had a full sweet chocolate malt up front with a good roast in it. The taste copied the smell and added a nice coffee to it. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Sitting at 9%, this one actually carries a decent sessionability about it. Overall, a 9 % doppelbock? Uh...okay I like it but wasn’t sure if it really sat at 9%. I’d still have again.
