Im posting this under the assumption that the original contributer mixed this up and this is the "Silver Gulch Bird Creek Old 55 pale ale" a APA with an abv of 5.2%
Had this in bottle at the Old "Birdhouse bar" the year before it burned down in Girdwood Ak. An experience by itself that cant be beat nor ever be equaled.
A: Poured a nice cooper-amber color with a frothy off white head that was moderately lasting.
S: The nose was dry and bitter with pine, dried malt and a nice dried fruitiness.
T: The initial flavor was nicely hopped with some dried pine and citrus bitterness against a dry toasted malting There was a nice dried fruitiness from the yeast with some light fresh woodiness which seemed right in place considering the locale. A nice lingering bitternss is found on the finish with some dried grapefruit and floral. The malt truly shines here in the palate.
M: medium full, with a nice carbonation presence brining out the woodsy and dried malt character of the beer on the tongue.
D: A nice dry malted pale with dried citrus and earthy woody flavors makes this a great product of its environment and one that shouldn't be missed.

Lighter in color than the Denali ale with a less robust character, this ale goes down easily from the tap with a crisp finish.
