Poured from 32oz growler. Purchased at the brewpub in the anchorage airport!!! (also a bottle shop! Every airport should have one). If we weren't so full from dinner, we would have cracked it on the plane home. Consumed a week later while brewing a porter.
Poured into magic hat pub glass. Deep black color with tan 2 finger head. Awesome roasted malty aromas with a nice spicyness...
taste of roasted malt, a bit of chocolate, and a nice spicyness - must be the rye - and its awesome. Silky smooth and just so easy to drink. One of the best oatmeal stouts ive had to date - too bad its a few thousand miles away.
