1st review of this beer on BA. I really dug it. Dig the artwork from these guys, if you dig FFF, Nightmare or Phantom Carriage vibes, this place is right up there with the goth metal horror movie schtick artwise.
Pours a golden color with plenty of clarity like the big boys make 'em. 1/3" white head. Its pretty. Very nice aroma on this one, 100% Citra hopped and it smells exactly like that. Tangerine, orange, citron, saffron, lemon, lime all wrapped up in one mega citrus nose. While Citra almost seems pase these days, this pushes the notion of sweet citrus grove to unparalleled heights.
Taste right away announces itself as the type of ipa banger you'd like to have year round. Firm, tasty, expressive waves of orange grove meets a firm barley backhand without the grating bitterness or trubby saturation of flaked oats or wheat. Its snappy carbonation is all the more welcome keeping this drinking like a softer pale ale than a robust ipa that it is. Its like brand new second hand.
