Can pour - clear golden straw color, short foamy white head, frosty lacing. Smells and tastes like a GT dipa so no surprises here. ABV well hidden, easy quaffer. Typical can art for GT, whatever. Flavor profile is right up my alley, I like it.

Like all the other Ghost Town brews I scored, this one came from Berkeley Bowl. Has a purple label with a dude's head dying or some shit on it. I dunno, all their shit is like FFF/Phantom Carriage metal/goth vibe to it. Which those are good breweries, and so is this, so maybe there is something to it. The name isn't a reference to 4wd off roading? That's more of a death wobble anyways.
Anyways, pours a shiny copper color. Aroma was probably the mildest of the three beers, but it still communicated a hoppy late stage Mosaic presence. Commercial tug job says 78 ibu, but it actually feels softer, and not because of some weak ass carbonation or whatnot.
Taste didn't actually push alcohol, figured over 8%, here it comes, but no, the beer hid the abv, kept dropping hops, alternating between the Mosaic on the nose and Simcoe providing sturdy but not excessive bitterness. This double ipa seemed less dark/malty than the lecherous haze one. Either way, they're all good beers and I will grab more when I'm back in town in February hopefully.

I don't care for IPA's, but when it's a gift, you drink it. Death Rattle has a beautiful clear dark gold/copper color. Head is neither substantial nor long lasting. Smells of fresh cut grass, sage, pine and citrus. Tastes just the same, though multiply the smell by 50 and throw in a major dose of bitterness. Mouth feel is a bit oily, but redeemed somewhat by the fine carbonation. At 8.2%, your reward for finishing a pint is a small buzz.
