Alright let's run the second review of this beer. But let's also have a slight Nelson hop existentialism discussion first. So Nelson, my favorite super danky hop. But when I think of uber hopped pilsners, it seems Mosaic tends to be a better fit. Will the tide turn here?

Pours a clear golden color into a MKE (Milwaukee) pint glass. Makes 1.25" white head, small bubbles, good clarity. There's also Strata hops here, so it does give it a light Mosaic like berry bouyancy that helps cut on Nelson's edginess that is too edgy in a pilsner body in the aforementioned discussion.

The taste hits hoppy as hell, strong bitterness, but its like a greater sum than its parts, where is all this grapefruit, melon, papaya coming from? This is not what I expected with Nelson and Strata, I thought I was gonna get into this weed, garlic, onion, dank, strawberry existence. This hit different, still like it, just didn't see the taste profile coming. So I guess Nelson fuel is the only Nelson hopped lager to really hit that world class Nelson lager stride I'm aware of. Still good, just a curve ball.

Just a wisp of foam in the snifter, but attractive clear golden amber brew. The mouthfeel, however is quite lush and spritzy. The aromatics are vivid and full of fruit. some modest bitterness at the finish with a lingering bit of viney astringency. They call this a "Hoppy Pilsner" brewed with Nelson and Strata hops.

Flavors of melon, a dose of mango, and the inevitable citrus peel. Warm and malty flavored, though it finishes with a bit of minerals. Just enough sweetness combined with the prickly mouthfeel to make it thoroughly refreshing. This is so fruity and pleasant to quaff. Yet another reason to try everything from Ghost Town.
