Enter a state of calmness never before seen in the world of West Coast Pils with Ataraxia. Made with equanimous Nectaron + Mosaic hops, Ataraxia is a zippy, effervescent slice of the sublime. It is not all placid pleasure though. Each sip contains potent aromatics that hush mental and emotional disquiet with notes of marionberry, apricot and clementine.

You know, if pilsners were overrated, there might be a few in the NG250 here. But there are zero. Tough to take a review seriously with such a major gaffe.
But hey, let's review this west coast pilsner hopped like an ipa. Pours a clear golden appearance into a 1918 Marquette jersey pint glass with Kevin Nash as Shreddeer in microbrawler form. 1/4" white head. There is a berry burst of Mosaic and stone fruit provided by Nectaron hops. They aren't subtle, they are used in a financially questionable mass quantity. I'm here for it.
The taste is a mega hopped berry medley, weed, nectarine, apricot dancing over a light pilsner malt body. That's it, that's the beer, ipa hopped lager. IPL if you will. Ain't no shame in that game. I can rarely find Finest Things from Fieldwork, so this is a pretty dang good substitute for that beer. Its not quite as crisp as an elite pilsner, but those proprietary hops weigh heavy. I'll agree its crushable.

Another special brew for SF Beer Week 2024, this "West Coast Pils" is truly a work of art. Pilsners are often overrated, but this recipe nails the nascent style. Pours out with just the right amount of head. Nice floral nose and a hoppy bite on the palate. Mega crushable.
