Pours kind of a reddish brown color. 1 finger tan head. Head retention is good. No lacing on the glass.
The nose is a nice mellow coffee aroma. Not overpowering.
Taste - There's coffee in it, but niot strong. It kind of remids me of a red beer with coffee in it. Not sure the flavors are working together.
Body is lighter. Not watery.
Interesting beer.

16oz can, no apparent freshness date. Unfiltered brown colored ale with a frothy light brown head. Intense coffee and malt aroma along with some brown sugar and molasses. Coffee nicely dominates the flavors with the beer notes of toasted grain, toffee, chocolate, brown sugar, molasses, and earthy hops rounding out the flavors. Medium body, too acidic, low carbonation, very dry finish. Unfortunately there are many flaws with this one. It's not terrible, but quite disappointing. It's the first time I've had something from Arrowhead, so it will be hard for me to buy something else in the future.

Taste: mellow lightness to the coffee notes, chocolate malts, smooth clean finish. Coffee bean aroma. Dark brown, mostly opaque, some head and lace in a taster cup. medium light body. Dry finish with Smugglers coffee blend.
